San Diego St., Boise St. sweep opening series

San Diego State and Boise State have moved out to the early lead in the Mountain West standings after both scored 3-game sweeps on the opening weekend of conference play.

The Aztecs took three from Colorado State, while the Broncos swept three from UNLV.

New Mexico was the lone MW team not to play a conference game.  The Lobos suffered a 9-1 (five innings) loss at home to rival New Mexico State of the Western Athletic Conference.  In the process, the Aggies swept the two-game, home-and-away, season series from the Lobos.
