SDSU's Miles named National Player of the Week


San Diego State's Hayley Miles was named the NFCA's National Player of the Week for her efforts a week ago when the Aztecs swept New Mexico.

Miles went 8-for-11 last week with 10 runs, eight RBI, seven walks and five home runs. For the week, the sophomore had a .727 batting average, .842 on-base percentage and a 2.091 slugging percentage.

She hit multiple home runs in two of the three games against the Lobos and reaching base at least twice in each contest. In her first two games of the week, Miles went 6-for-6 with three doubles, three home runs and three walks.
