A look at MW team stats thru week 3

We're just about halfway through the non-conference season and almost one-third of the way through the entire 2013 season.  It's going fast.  It's time to take another look at where each team stands statistically.

Certain things jump out when looking at team stats.  First, Nevada has the No. 1 team batting average in the conference, but also the worst team pitching ERA.  San Diego State has the lowest team ERA (1.57) by a wide margin, with no other Mountain West team below 3.00.  Considering the opposition SDSU has already faced, it's an even more impressive number.  And Fresno State is tops defensively, not only committing the fewest errors of any MW team, but in the most number of games.  The Bulldogs and Aztecs rank in the top three of all three major categories.
