San Diego State, Fresno State both receiving Top 25 votes this week

Two weeks into the 2015 season, two Mountain West teams are receiving votes in the national Top 25 polls.  In this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings, San Diego State and Fresno State both showed up in the "receiving votes" category.

The Aztecs (7-2) received six votes this week to rank 30th.  The Bulldogs (7-3) received one vote to rank 39th.  Both teams have already defeated other teams that are currently receiving votes, with Fresno State owning a win over Cal State Northridge (8-2), and SDSU having defeated North Dakota State (7-3).

This is a huge week for both San Diego State and Fresno State.  They, along with UNLV and Nevada, will compete at the prestigious Mary Nutter Classic in Palm Springs, where a throng of the nation's elite softball teams will compete.  A whopping eight of the Bulldogs' and Aztecs' opponents this week are either ranked or receiving votes in the current national Top 25 polls.

San Diego State meets Oklahoma, LSU, Kentucky, Stanford and Notre Dame.  Fresno State meets Texas, Ohio State, Stanford, Oklahoma State and Loyola Marymount.
