Aztecs, Bulldogs continue to top Mountain West RPIs

The latest Ratings Percentage Index numbers are out for the week.  San Diego State held at 36 after going 4-2 for the week and splitting two series.  Fresno State had the Mountain West's best record of the week, going 5-1 and winning both of its series, but the Bulldogs dropped two spots to 41.  A loss to Utah State will do that.  San Jose State, which went 2-1 and took two of three games at SDSU, made a leap of six spots to 53, its high-water mark of the season.  UNLV went 3-3 last week, sweeping Boise State and getting swept in a 3-game set at California.  That was enough to move the Rebels up three spots to 75 in the RPI, entirely because of those quality losses to the nationally-ranked Bears.  Colorado State went 1-5 and dropped a hefty 21 spots to No. 127.  New Mexico went 2-4 this week, but rose five spots to a season-best 130 in the RPI, largely because of three losses to highly-ranked Fresno State.  Utah State made the biggest upward move in the MW, going 4-2 for the week and rising an amazing 27 spots.  Beating Fresno State for the first time in 14 years gave the Aggies their biggest week-to-week rise in the RPI.  Nevada and Boise State, who faced each other last weekend, both fell.  The Pack dropped 17 spots to 220, while the Broncos fell eight to 227.
