The new ESPN/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 is out for the week and it gives the Mountain West its highest poll position of the season. Fresno State, which reached the No. 29 spot earlier this season, is on the doorstep of the national rankings once again.

The Bulldogs (33-14) received 15 votes this week to rank in the No. 26 spot, the first team in the "others receiving votes" category.  Fresno State, currently alone in first place in the Mountain West standings, has won nine of its past 10 games.  The Bulldogs own a pair of victories this season over other teams receiving votes, having beaten both Texas (31-12) and Cal State Northridge (37-10).

Fresno State has faced six of the nation's top 20 teams this season, including three of the current top 10, and both the nation's No. 1 (Florida) and No. 2 (Oregon) ranked teams.
