The Mountain West title & NCAA bid scenarios

Still confused about the scenarios for claiming the Mountain West title and the automatic NCAA bid that comes with it?  Here's the only information you'll need for this weekend in one easy post.
  • Fresno State clinches the championship and automatic NCAA bid with 2 wins vs. UNLV this weekend OR with 1 win vs. UNLV, combined with at least 1 win by New Mexico over San Jose State this weekend.
  • San Jose State clinches the championship and automatic NCAA bid with a 3-game sweep of New Mexico, combined with at least two Fresno State losses at UNLV.
  • San Diego State clinches the championship and automatic NCAA bid if UNLV sweeps the 3-game series from Fresno State, and New Mexico wins at least 1 game in its series vs. San Jose State.
Thus, the title race can be over as early as today if both Fresno State and New Mexico win.  If the Bulldogs win today, San Diego State is automatically eliminated.  If the Lobos win today, San Jose State is automatically eliminated.
