Fresno State is ranked in both major polls again this week. It's the fifth consecutive week the Bulldogs have been in the Top 25 of both the media and coaches' polls.
In the USA Today/NFCA Top 25, Fresno State held at the No. 24 spot after going 2-1 last week, with all three games coming against 2015 NCAA Tournament teams. The Bulldogs picked up a 7-0 win over California on Tuesday, and then shut out defending Big Sky champion Weber State on Saturday afternoon before falling to No. 7-ranked Washington later that night. Three Fresno State games were rained out last week.
In the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, the Bulldogs dropped two spots to No. 24.
The NCAA also released its new strength of schedule numbers, through games played as of March 13. Fresno State's numbers there are even more impressive. The Bulldogs have played the country's fourth-best schedule (of 295 Division I teams). San Jose State is the only other Mountain West team to have played a Top 100 schedule, according to the NCAA. The Spartans' slate is currently rated as the 33rd best in America.
